If you already have your own supplies and you know they are in good quality, use them. The instructor believes in “LESS IS MORE”, you can upgrade any time you like later.

Supply kit - In there is everything you need to start painting. Available from Diana Krah, artist, see the "shop" - on this website.
There are two different supply kits. 1) The No Hassle Kit = Basic kit to start painting. 2) Artist Kit = More paper, specialty brushes and extra paints included to paint many sessions with. ( To order, see "shop" and add to your cart.)
Kit can be post mailed, or will be ready for you on the workshop day.
Supply List:
For sketching and notes, pencil, sharpener, eraser, type writing paper and/or sketchbook
Paints: Colors are often named differently depending on the brand. Please bring a minimum of 3 primary watercolors with transparent properties!
(Cobalt blue, Alizarin Crimson, Aurelian Yellow)
For advanced workshop: “Technique that inspire.” Please bring 5 or more colors + neutral tint and Chinese white!
(Raw sienna, lemon yellow, phthalo blue, transparent orange, red ochre, sepia, yellow ochre, opera pink, red magenta, dioxane purple, green gold, phthalo turquoise + others, are some of my favorite colors, but it is your choice to upgrade as you please) If you have a warm and a cool version of red/blue/yellow, then you will have a great color selection to start with.
Recommended paint brands are: Winsor Newton & Cotman, Schinke, Holbein, QOR, Daniel Smith.
Brushes
Please bring ONLY “watercolor brushes”!!!!!
Synthetics are fine, in a good quality. No oil or acrylic brushes, please!
1 x smaller round brush size 8, 9, 10 synthetic watercolor brush 1 x larger round brush size 12, 14 or 16 synthetics Make sure the brushes have a nice pointy tip!
Specialty brushes: For advance workshop: “Technique that inspires.”
Dagger stripper, rigger/liner brush, flat brush or mop brush.
Less is more, but in good quality!
Recommended brand: Princeton, but a good supply store has others, too.
Paper:
Watercolor paper, cold press rough, minimum 140 lb per square inch.
Please bring several sheets, size minimum letter size and larger.
Recommended brand: Arches. Please use cheap, light weight paper only for color swaps or sketching!
Miscellaneous supplies
Painters tape - to fix the paper on to the board, 3M or green cheap brand works great
Boards - can be wood or plastic (should be sturdy and have smooth surface) a bit larger than letter size, bring 2 or 3 boards to tape the paintings to, makes work easier.
Water container = 2 water containers
Mixing pallet
Paper towels
Household sponge
For advanced workshop:

Household salt fine, plastic old credit card, saran wrap or gift card, plastic spoon, sponge

All workshops are designed to encourage a personal, creative style of painting. Don’t expect to go home with a done copy of the instructors painting, rather the inspiration and satisfaction of seeing your own inner artist come to life.
All the reference photos and paintings used during the workshops are intellectual property of the instructor and copy rights do apply. Please note, that even your copied paintings during the workshop are not legal to sell for profit or distribution.
All workshops are hosted in small groups with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 participants. Minimum age is 14.
Registrations can be made by e-mail, click button below. All reservations needs to be confirmed and be paid in full at least 8 days prior to event date. General deadline to register is 1 week prior to workshop date.
Group bookings and discounts for workshops:
Art clubs and group bookings with a minimum of 6 participants do receive a 15% discount. A travel charge does apply per KM and per hour of travel. Supplies are extra. A 50% down payment is required to place any reservation. Please request a FREE, customized proposal for group bookings.
